Itinerary for a 4night, 5day Tour

Day 1

Arrival at IXB and Drive to Phuntsholing

  • Arrival at IXB (Bagdogra Airport): Meet and greet at the airport.
  • Distance & Duration: Drive approximately 170 km (4-5 hours) through picturesque landscapes.
  • Altitude: Phuntsholing (300 meters above sea level).
  • Check-in at Hotel: Settle into your hotel in Phuntsholing.
  • Evening Leisure: Explore the local markets and surroundings.
  • Dinner: Enjoy a traditional Bhutanese meal at a local restaurant.
  • Overnight Stay: Phuntsholing.
Day 2

Phuntsholing to Thimphu

  • Breakfast: At the hotel.
  • Immigration Formalities: Complete necessary immigration procedures.
  • Distance & Duration: Drive approximately 170 km (5-6 hours) to Thimphu.
  • Stop at Kharbandi Gompa: Visit the monastery and enjoy the panoramic view of Phuntsholing and its surroundings.
  • Altitude: Thimphu (2,320 meters above sea level).
  • Arrival in Thimphu:Check-in at your hotel.
  • Evening Stroll: Visit the marathon event location to collect your t-shirt and track number. Take a leisurely walk along Thimphu’s main street and explore local shops.

Day 3

Thimphu Marathon Participation and Evening Drive to Paro

Cancellation Conditions – Land Tour:

  • Deposit date until 35 days prior to arrival in Bhutan – Land tour deposit is refundable less B&B service fees.
  • 35 days or less prior to arrival in Bhutan – No land tour refund permitted.

Delayed Arrivals:

  • There is no charge for delays in arrival and departure because of weather conditions disrupting flights or roadblocks. The tourist must, however, bear the cost of food, accommodation, transportation, and other services required.
